5th - "The Loop" Rally Day 7:30AM - 12:30PM in the yard outside the Pearl Street entrance to the church (in Johnson Hall in case of rain). "The Loop" is for students age 3 thru Grade 8. Eat some food, meet you Catechist, play a game, register for a prize, review materials, talk to the Director. Classes begin on September 12th. Questions? Contact Lori Mazzone at 345-9874, x222.
12th - St. Francis Parish Picnic 12:30 pm Mass at OSU-N Amphitheater, followed by Picnic at 1:30 pm at Rotary Park. Choo Choo the Clown, Face Painting, Playground. The Dessert Bake-Off Returns. Show off your Pies, Cakes & Cookies. Yummy food! Meat and Beverages provided. Bring your own table service & a passing dish to share! Come join us!
24th - The Friends of the Poor Walk 1 Mile Walk beginning at St. Francis Church. Walker Sign-In 8:45-9:30am / Walk begins 9:30am (rain or shine). The Friends of the Poor® Walk is a unique national fundraising effort organized both nationally and locally by the St. Francis de Sales Conferences of the Society of St. Vincent de Paul. It allows community members from all walks of life across the country to participate in a simultaneous, nationwide event to raise national awareness of the challenges faced by the nation’s poor and to raise significant funds for use in direct service to the poor. All funds raised locally will be used locally.
