Spiritual Life

Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament

St. Francis de Sales is blessed to have almost perpetual adoration of the Blessed Sacrament in the Annunciation Chapel.  Running from Sunday evening through Saturday afternoon, literally hundreds of volunteers give and hour or more to watch and pray before our lord exposed on the altar in the monstrance.  Many testimonies have been received of graces given in response to those prayers.

Fruit of the Vine

Fruit of the Vine is an Ecumenical Charismatic Prayer Group that meets once a week for song and prayer intentions.  Our group here at St. Francis was founded in the late 1960’s and was the first in the Columbus Diocese.  Fruit of the Vine is always accepting people who are eager to gather and give praise to the Lord.

Hospital Anointing and Holy Communion

Our priests and other members of our parish staff are available to visit any parishioner or their family member in local hospitals.  Because of the current privacy regulations, you must contact the parish office directly to requests a visit.

Prayer Line

Parishioners can rely on this dedicated group of volunteers to pray for specific intentions of our parish family.  Anyone with an active prayer life is invited to join the line.  Please contact the Parish Office if you are interested.

Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults

Every year St. Francis offers hospitality and catechists to those adults and children who wish to complete their sacramental initiation or become Catholic by being received into full communion with the Catholic Church.  Volunteers are needed to act as companions to the candidates and catechumens or to serve on a hospitality committee.

Rosary Groups

There are 3 groups meeting, including one in Spanish.  For further details, please contact the parish secretary.

Visit to the Sick and Homebound

For those in our parish family who are unable to join in our Sunday celebration, we have a committed group of volunteers who bring the Eucharist to them.  Visits with the homebound are scheduled during the week based on individual needs.  If you or anyone in your family would benefit from this ministry, please contact the parish office.
