We’ll use Chosen: Your Journey to Confirmation as the program for confirmation classes for the 2023-2024 year. Chosen has been used by thousands of parishes to present the Catholic Faith to teens in a way that keeps their attention as they prepare to receive the Sacrament of Confirmation. As well, the Subcommittee on the Catechism, United States Conference of Catholic Bishops, has found the doctrinal content of this manual, copyright 2016, to be in conformity with the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
Basically, the program contains three stages, beginning with removing obstacles to belief, moving to cultivating seeds of faith, and ending with a strengthening of formation preparing for the sacramental gift of Confirmation. For some, it’s moving beyond simply being raised Catholic; for all, it’s a movement toward choosing Catholicism and a deep, personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
More than a Q&A session: it’s a dialogue each and every week. A conversation about Christ and His impact on our lives, both then, now, and in the future, inclusive of not only the candidate, but parents, sponsors, and the parish.

Meet our Confirmation Coordinators
Ben and Mary Beth Lee have been members of St Francis de Sales Church for a little over a year and have two daughters enrolled at St. Francis School. Mary Beth is the Elementary Music Teacher at St Francis de Sales and Blessed Sacrament Schools. Ben is an analyst for L Brands, a member of the Mary E. Babcock Library Board, and involved with the Knights of Columbus at St Francis. In their spare time, the family enjoys camping, exercising, and attending Church functions together. Having both been recently confirmed, Ben and Mary Beth are excited to share their experiences and blessings with those discerning through the confirmation process, looking to build on their Catholic foundation and grow in relationship with Jesus.
