Theresa and Deacon Steve have been married for 46 years and have been at St. Francis for 35 years. Newark has been a great place to raise their five children, and now though four have moved away, they all often gather here with the sixteen grandchildren and a variety of grand-dogs.
Theresa and Deacon Steve have served in a variety of ministries, including Pre-Cana sponsors, Extraordinary Minister of Holy Communion, Lector, Choir, Funeral Choir, Good Measure Choir, Bible Study leaders, Liturgy Committee, Knox-Licking Vocations Club, Sights and Sounds of Christmas Committee, Newark Catholic Religion Teacher and NC Director of Liturgical Choir. Theresa has served as chairperson and/or member of several diocesan commissions on RCIA and Liturgy. Theresa also is a member of a Bereavement Luncheon Team and continues to play and direct the Denison University Mass Choir.
Theresa’s greatest joy was to lead the parish RCIA for fifteen years. She looks forward to once again cooperate with the Holy Spirit in journeying with those who are seeking to learn about and join the Catholic Church as disciples of Jesus Christ.
