Emily - B.S. in metallurgical engineering from Purdue University; M. Ed. in curriculum and instruction from Indiana Wesleyan University
Emily and Rob Matuska have been married for almost 20 years, and have been members of the St. Francis parish for most of that time. They have three daughters, who all attend St. Francis de Sales school. They both volunteer at school, with Emily being a Girl Scout leader. They help out with confirmation class and are helping out with our newly engaged couples as a mentor couple. Rob is Research and Development Manager for Kaiser Aluminum focusing on new product and process development. Rob is a life-long Catholic, having attended catholic school from second grade on, graduating from Elder High School. Emily currently teaches science at Newark Catholic. Prior to teaching, Emily was a plant metallurgist and quality manager for Alcoa and Kaiser Aluminum, and a quality manager for Owens Corning.
Outside of work, the three girls keep Emily and Rob busy! They enjoy hiking, travelling and reading while also supporting their children and enjoying watching them in their activities (dance and cheerleading). Of course, their most important job is leading, mentoring and helping our children grow to be wonderful, well rounded adults with a strong catholic basis.
